Haig R. Nalbantian

Haig R. Nalbantian is a Principal and Worldwide Partner with Mercer Human Resource Consulting and co-director of the
company’s R&D Council. A founding member of Mercer’s Strategy and Metrics Group, he has been instrumental in developing Mercer’s capability to
measure the economic impact of human capital management. Those capabilities have been applied in numerous projects he has directed for leading
companies across a broad range of industries.

Haig’s research in labor and organizational economics has been published in numerous professional journals including, the American Economic Review,
the Journal of Labor Economics, the Compensation and Benefits Review, WorldatWork, among others. He is editor and chief contributor to the
interdisciplinary volume, Incentives, Cooperation, and Risk-Sharing.

Haig joined Mercer from National Economic Research Associates (NERA). Prior to that, he was on the faculty of Economics at NYU and was a research scientist at
its C.V. Starr Center for Applied Economics.

Haig has bachelor’s degrees in English and Economics from NYU, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. His M.A. and MPhil degrees in Economics are from Columbia
University. He is a member of the American Economic Association.
