Paul Dolan
Paul Dolan has been president of Fetzer vineyards since 1992, having served previously as Fetzer’s winemaker beginning in 1977. In addition, he is managing director for new products and strategic development with the wine group of Kentucky-based Brown-Forman Corp., which owns the Fetzer Vineyards. At Fetzer, Dolan’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices, including organic farming and resource conservation, has been successfully integrated into day-to-day operations. His vision and management of the winery have resulted in numerous awards over the years in recognition of Fetzer’s quality wine and environmental commitments. Dolan has been a past recipient of the prestigious “Winemaker of the Year” designation given by Dan Berger, wine columnist for the Los Angeles Times. A native Californian descended from three generations of distinguished winemakers, Dolan graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in business and finance and holds a master’s degree in enology from California State University, Fresno . He is on the board of directors of the Wine Institute and of Business for Social Responsibility and is founder of WineVision, a trade organization promoting wine in the United States.
