Bala Chakravarthy
According to IMD International, where he serves as a professor and the Shell Chair in Sustainable Business Growth, Bala Chakravarthy is a mechanical engineer by training and worked as an executive at Tata Motors (a leading automobile manufacturer) in his native India before earning his doctorate at the Harvard Business School. He has taught at the Wharton School and INSEAD, where he was the director of its corporate renewal initiative from 1993-94. Most recently, Chakravarthy held the Edson Spencer Chair in Technological Leadership at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He is the author of four books and is currently working on his next one.
